Police documents show that Miami Dolphins defensive end Derrick Shelby grabbed the arm of an officer before his arrest early Saturday, reports the Miami Herald

Shelby was arrested on misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and trespassing after he refused to leave a Fort Lauderdale nightclub. He was reportedly kicked out of the night club for touching women without their permission.

On Monday, the Dolphins announced that Shelby was indefinitely suspended

The written report of the officer, Zachary Baro, states that Shelby made contact with his hand when Baro was trying to stop Shelby from returning into the club, then grabbed Baro's arm during another attempt to return. It was then that Baro decided to arrest him.

According to Baro, police officers hit Shelby with three blasts from a stun gun before finally subduing him and taking him into custody.

The Dolphins were on a bye last weekend. They host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
