The trash talk between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles continued Friday when Eagles center Jason Kelce came back at Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul for comments he made on Thursday.

The two teams play Sunday night in Philadelphia.

Pierre-Paul said Thursday the Giants "could have easily been 0-4" based on the way the team has been playing this season. The Eagles have actually played five games and are 4-1, with their own defeat coming against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4.

Kelce, who is recovering from hernia surgery and will not play Sunday, did not take to kindly to Pierre-Paul’s words.

“Well, my response to that is, I don’t think Jason Pierre-Paul is smart enough to come up with that statement on his own,” Kelce told CBS Radio in Philadelphia. “I think he’s the type of guy that just reiterates what his coaches have been telling him. So, I’m a little worried about Tom Coughlin’s math because I feel like maybe that’s where it was screwed up. Maybe it was just relayed to him.”

Kelce then reiterated his stance when asked if he was not impressed by the collective intellect of the Giants (3-2).

"That is correct," Kelce said. "They are a good football team, but yes."
