The New York Jetshave activated linebacker Antwan Barnes from the Physically Unable to Perform list, making him eligible for Thursday’s game against the New England Patriots. The team released backup safety Josh Bush to make room on the roster for Barnes.

Barnes played five games last year before tearing his ACL. He was placed on the PUP list during the preseason and was only eligible to practice with the team earlier this week.

Wide receiver Eric Decker is expected to play after sitting out last week with a hamstring injury, while wide receiver Greg Salas is out with wrist and ankle injuries.

The Jets are fourth in the AFC East with a record of 1-5. They face the Patriots (4-2), who are first in the division.
