NEW ORLEANS (AP) The Cincinnati Bengals have scratched starting right tackle Andre Smith and starting cornerback Terrence Newman for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.

New Orleans has scratched receiver Robert Meachem, who also missed last week's loss to San Francisco with an ankle injury. Meachem had been listed as questionable, along with cornerback Keenan Lewis and linebacker Curtis Lofton, who both have knee soreness, but the defensive starters have been activated for the game.

Linebacker Rey Maualuga had been listed as questionable with a hamstring injury, but is available to play for Cincinnati.

Cincinnati had already ruled out running back Giovani Bernard with a hip injury and linebacker Vontaze Burfict with a knee injury.

The Saints previously announced running backs Pierre Thomas and Khiry Robinson would miss their fourth straight game.
