The Seattle Seahawks are the defending Super Bowl champions, but they find themselves in a hole in the NFC West standings heading into a Week 12 matchup as home betting favorites against the division leader – the streaking Arizona Cardinals.

The Seahawks opened as 5.5-point home favorites against the Cardinals on the Week 12 NFL betting lines, but at just 6-4 straight up and 4-6 against the spread on the season, they are currently three games behind the Cardinals (9-1 SU, 8-2 ATS) in the NFC West standings. Seattle is coming off a 24-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11, while the Cards got past the Detroit Lions 14-6 last time out with Drew Stanton at quarterback in place of the injured Carson Palmer.

Seattle is 3-1 both SU and ATS in its last four games against Arizona according to the OddsShark.com NFL Database, and the Seahawks have also managed to pay out on the betting lines in 12 of their last 14 home games against teams from the NFC West division.

The San Francisco 49ers are tied with the Seahawks for second place in the NFC West at 6-4 SU (5-5 ATS), and they opened as 7.5-point home favorites against Washington for their matchup on Sunday afternoon. The Green Bay Packers also opened as 7.5-point favorites for Sunday as they take on the Vikings in Minnesota; that line, however, immediately shot up to Packers -11. Green Bay blasted the Philadelphia Eagles by a 53-20 score on the weekend.

Philadelphia opened as a 10.5-point home favorite against the Tennessee Titans at the sportsbooks, but the biggest opening spread of the week was in the Jacksonville at Indianapolis matchup as the Colts were listed as 14-point favorites on the early lines. The Colts have managed to cover the posted spread in each of their last six home games against AFC South teams; they'll be trying to bounce back from their Sunday night loss to the Patriots.

And after topping the Colts 42-20 the Patriots opened as 5.5-point home favorites at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com for their Sunday afternoon game against the Detroit Lions – with that line quickly increasing to 7.5 points. The Denver Broncos opened as 7.5-point home favorites against the Miami Dolphins for Sunday and the Kansas City Chiefs opened as 6-point road favorites against the Oakland Raiders for Thursday night, with the Broncos and the Chiefs tied at 7-3 SU atop the AFC West standings heading into Week 12.
