Computer picks: Arizona at Seattle among strong underdog plays
The Arizona Cardinals own the best record in the NFL at 9-1 SU and 8-2 ATS through the first 10 games of the season. Despite their success so far, the Cardinals are a big underdog this Sunday on the road against the Seattle Seahawks.
Seattle is a 7-point home favorite on Sunday at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Seahawks are 12-2 ATS over their last 14 home games against NFC West opponents but are just 1-2 ATS over their last three home games overall. Oddsmakers may see Seattle as the clear favorite but the OddsShark Computer see things differently, predicting an outright upset for Arizona by a score of 28.3 to 26.7. Arizona is 3-1 SU and ATS in its last four games as a road underdog.
Baltimore visits New Orleans on Monday night and this is another spot where the computer is predicting a potential outright upset. Going off at +3 on the road, Baltimore is projected to beat the Saints by a score of 31.9 to 24.8. The Saints have lost their luster at home of late, going just 1-3 ATS with two straight outright losses since going 8-0-1 ATS over their previous nine home games.
The computer may like some outright upsets this week, but it is also pointing to some big chalk favorites getting the job done. Philadelphia is an 11-point home favorite over Tennessee this Sunday, and the computer foresees a narrow cover with a 29-16 score. Indianapolis will have an even easier time at home as a 14-point favorite against Jacksonville, cruising to a 30.8 to 12.7 victory. The Colts are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against the Jags according to the OddsShark NFL Database.
The New York Giants host the Dallas Cowboys for this week's Sunday Night Football matchup. New York is only a 3-point underdog at home on the Week 12 NFL betting lines, making Dallas look like a strong road play coming off the bye. Dallas is 8-0 ATS in its last eight road games coming off a bye and 3-0 SU and ATS in its last three games against the Giants. The computer has churned out a score of Dallas 28.4 to New York 17.7.
