The Baltimore Ravens will sign cornerback Antoine Cason on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun reports.

The 28-year-old was released by the Carolina Panthers last week. In 12 games this season, Cason had 58 combined tackles, four forced fumbles and two interceptions for the Panthers.

He was a first-round pick out of Arizona by the Chargers and spent the first four seasons of his career with San Diego. He played for the Arizona Cardinals last season and has 380 career tackles, 16 interceptions and eight forced fumbles.

A pair of Ravens cornerbacks were injured in Sunday's win over the Miami Dolphins. Danny Gorrer tore the MCL and PCL in his knee and is out for the season, while Anthony Levine suffered a concussion.

Baltimore has already lost three cornerbacks to season-ending injuries. Jimmy Smith was injured in Week 8, Tramain Jacobs hurt his thigh in Week 12 and Aaron Ross tore his Achilles in training camp.

The Ravens are 8-5 and tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Diego Chargers for the two Wild Card spots, but are on the outside looking in by virtue of tie breakers. They host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
