NFL Odds: Can Falcons beat Saints and take the lead in NFC South?

Atlanta Falcons could take NFC South lead with win against New Orleans Saints, but the Week 16 NFL odds are not in their favor.

The Atlanta Falcons are 0-11 SU and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games as a road underdog. To keep their playoff hopes alive, they'll need a win on the road against the New Orleans Saints this Sunday.

After years as a punchline, Lions are now legitimate contenders

New Orleans is a six-point home favorite at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Saints are 0-4 SU and ATS in their last four home games since going 11-0 SU and 9-1-1 ATS in their previous 11 games at home. With a 6-8 SU record, the Saints are currently in first place in the NFC South, but a loss to the Falcons this week would bring both teams to 6-9 SU and give Atlanta the head-to-head tiebreaker.

The Baltimore Ravens visit the Houston Texans this week looking to keep pace in both the AFC North and the AFC Wild Card races. Baltimore is 7-1 SU and 5-3 ATS in its last eight games against the Houston Texans and 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS over its last five games. Houston is 1-9 SU and 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games as a home underdog. The Texans are going off at +5 on Sunday on the Week 16 NFL betting lines.

First Down/Fourth Down: Wagner a vital part of Seahawks' resurgence

Still jostling with Denver for the top spot in the AFC, the New England Patriots visit the New York Jets this Sunday in what could be a tougher test than many expect. New England is 0-3 ATS in its last three games against the Jets and 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games as a road favorite. New York is 4-3 SU and 5-2 ATS in its last seven games as a road underdog. With nothing else to play for as a 10-point underdog this week, the Jets would love to spoil home-field advantage for their hated rival with a big upset.

The Seattle Seahawks visit the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday night and can take over first place in the NFC West with a win. The Seahawks are 4-0 SU and ATS over their last four games according to the OddsShark NFL Database and will be facing a Cardinals team down to its third-string quarterback. Arizona is a 7.5-point underdog at home.
