EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) The New York Giants have had two safeties injured in the first quarter of their game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Rookie Nat Berhe hurt his right knee on a kickoff runback by the Giants. His return was listed as questionable.

Starting safety Stevie Brown was lost for the game with a sprained foot after making an interception at the Giants 6-yard line. The pick, however, was nullified when cornerback Chykie Brown was called for a marginal pass interference call.

The injuries left the Giants with two safeties, Antrel Rolle and Quintin Demps.
