The San Francisco 49ers have requested interviews with Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles and Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, reports ESPN's Josina Anderson.

The 49ers and coach Jim Harbaugh agreed to mutually part ways on Sunday, just minutes after his final press conference in San Francisco. Harbaugh was then hired by Michigan on Monday.

The 49ers went 8-8 this season, missing the playoffs for the first time under Harbaugh.

Bowles is in his second season as DC of the Cardinals. He previously held the same position with the Philadelphia Eagles, served as the interim head coach of the Miami Dolphins in 2011 and has been an assistant coach with multiple other NFL teams.

Quinn began his NFL coaching career with San Francisco in 2001, serving as the defensive quality control coach and later the defensive line coach. He has also been the defensive line coach for the Dolphins, New York Jets and Seahawks, and has been Seattle's DC since 2013.
