San Diego Chargers general manager Tom Telesco said running back Donald Brown will return in 2015, according to Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego.

Brown struggled in his first year in San Diego, running for 223 yards on 85 carries. His 2.6 yards per attempt and 17.2 yards per game averages were both career lows, and he failed to score a touchdown for the first time in his career.

BURKE: Who's No. 1 entering postseason?

The 27-year-old signed a three-year, $10.5 million contract with the Chargers a year ago after five seasons with the Indianapolis Colts.

He is due three million next season and it would cost San Diego $1.1 million to cut him, according to Rotoworld.

Brown is a former first-round draft pick by the Colts in 2009.
