The fantasy sports website prodraftleague.com has offered Ray Rice $1 million to become its spokesperson, according to a report from TMZ.

Last February Rice was arrested following a dispute with his now-wife in an Atlantic City casino elevator. The NFL suspended Rice for two games after a non-guilty plea to an aggravated assault charge.

He was accepted into a pretrial intervention program and avoided formal prosecution in the case. After TMZ published a video in September showing Rice striking his now-wife in the elevator, the Ravens terminated his contract.

In addition, the NFL suspended him indefinitely.

The CEO of the fantasy football website, Mark Tadros, told TMZ that Rice "shown deep remorse for his act of domestic violence and I feel he deserves a second chance" but that if he physically assaults his wife, his contract will be terminated, according to the report.

TMZ listed the obligations Rice would have as a spokesperson for the website:

  • 2 TV commercials
  • 2 viral videos
  • 1 photo shoot
  • 30 media interviews
  • weekly column with personal analysis on which NFL players to play
  • field reporter work, interviewing various NFL players for the site

After an appeal, the NFL reinstated Rice, who is now eligible to sign with any team.
