The New York Jets have re-signed offensive guard Willie Colon, the team announced on Thursday.

Colon's deal will pay him the veteran minimum of $870,000 over one year, according to's Rich Cimini.

Colon started every game the last two seasons for the Jets after spending the previous six seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He turns 32 next month.

New York went 4-12 and finished in last place in the AFC East last season.
