The Cincinnati Bengals signed unrestricted free agent defensive tackle Devon Still to a new contract, the team announced Thursday.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirerreports the Bengals offered Still a one-year deal before the start of free agency, but he wanted to wait until medical tests on his daughter were complete.

Still’s 4-year-old daughter, Leah, has a rare form of rare pediatric cancer. Leah was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma last June. He posted on Instagram on Tuesday that doctors said there was not "any active disease in her body."

"We still have to wait for her MRI and bone biopsy results later this week," he said.

Still was cut in training camp last year before being signed to Cincinnati’s practice squad. He was then promoted to the active roster in September.

Still, 25, played in 12 games last season, recording 19 total tackles.
