Colts sign linebacker Nate Irving

The Colts have signed linebacker Nate Irving, who spent the last four seasons in Denver.

The Indianapolis Colts agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent linebacker Nate Irving, the team announced Friday. 

Specific terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Irving, 26, spent the last four seasons with the Denver Broncos. He started eight games last season at middle linebacker before he was placed on season-ending injured reserve after suffering a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee.

Last season, Irving made a career-high 46 total tackles and one sack.

Irving was selected in third round of the 2011 NFL draft and has 104 tackles and two sacks in his career.
