Wilson, 30, spent last season with the Atlanta Falcons after previous stints with the Washington Redskins, Baltimore Ravens and Seattle Seahawks.
He has played eight seasons since being selected in the second round of the 2007 draft out of Maryland.

Over 16 games (and four starts) last season, the 5'9'', 189-pound Wilson recorded 27 tackles, seven passes defended and one interception.
The Lions ranked 13th in the NFL in pass defense last season.
