In free agency, the Broncos added defensive tackle Vance Walker from the Kansas City Chiefs; tight end James Casey from the Philadelphia Eagles; safety Darian Stewart, center Gino Gradkowski and tight end Owen Daniels from the Baltimore Ravens; defensive tackle Antonio Smith from the Oakland Raiders; defensive end Reggie Walker from the San Diego Chargers; and guard Shelley Smith from the Miami Dolphins.

The Broncos lost tight end Julius Thomas this off-season.
