Jim Kelly gets ovation announcing Bills pick at NFL draft
Saturday May 2nd, 2015

Buffalo Bills hall-of-fame quarterback Jim Kelly announced the team's second-round NFL draft pick on Friday, drawing a lengthy standing ovation from the crowd Auditorium Theatre in Chicago.

Video of the ovation and Kelly's pick can be viewed on the NFL's YouTube page. With the No. 50 pick, the Bills selected Florida State cornerback Ronald Darby.

Kelly, 55, received treatment for sinus cancer last summer, but tests in August showed no evidence of the disease. He confirmed to reporters on Friday that he is still cancer-free.

Kelly played for the Bills from 1986 to 1996, leading the Bills to four consecutive Super Bowls from 1990 to 1993. A five-time Pro Bowler, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002 and named to the Bills' 50th Season All-Time Team in 2009. His No. 12 is still the only number retired in Bills team history.
