Report: Chargers RB Melvin Gordon signs four-year rookie deal

The San Diego Chargers have signed their first-round pick, running back Melvin Gordon, to a four-year deal, reportsU-T San Diego.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

According to the report, Gordon has a fifth-year team option in the contract. The paper reported he will wear No. 28 with the Chargers after wearing No. 25 in college. Each of the team's five 2015 draft picks is now under contract.

Gordon was selected with the 15th pick in the 2015 NFL draft after an All-American junior season at Wisconsin, in which he led the nation with 2,587 yards and scored 29 touchdowns.

In his last two seasons at Wisconsin, Gordon rushed for 4,196 yards and 41 scores. In his college career, he ran for 4,915 yards and 45 touchdowns and also added four receiving touchdowns.

With Gordon’s signing, 16 of the 32 2015 first-round picks have finalized their contracts.
