The New York Jets have restructured the contract of wide receiver Brandon Marshall, reports ESPN.

The restructuring raises the maximum value of Marshall's contract over the next three seasons from $24.3 million to $26 million, according to the report. It also includes an additional $1.3 million in full guarantees.

The Jets acquired Marshall in a trade from the Chicago Bears in March.

The 31-year-old receiver will now earn a fully guaranteed base salary of $9 million for 2015, up from a planned $7.5 million salary and $200,000 workout bonus.
