Titans' Marcus Mariota leads NFL jersey sales
Wednesday June 3rd, 2015

Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota topped the NFL’s jersey sales last month, according to NFLShop.com, the league’s official online store.

Mariota won the Heisman Trophy last season at Oregon, led his team to the national title game and was selected with the second pick in April’s NFL draft.

Coming in second on the top-selling jersey list is Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston, who went No. 1 in the draft.

The Titans and Buccaneers will meet in Week 1 of the regular season.

New England Patriots quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady is third on the list. Brady was suspended for four games without pay by the NFL for his role in the Deflategate scandal. He is appealing the suspension.

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning make up the rest of the top 10.

Houston Texans defensive end and NFL Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt is the highest defender on the list, coming in at No. 12.

Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback Tim Tebow, who was signed by the team in April and hasn’t thrown a pass in the NFL in three years, has the 15th best-selling jersey.
