EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) The New York Giants have added depth at the safety position, signing veteran Jeromy Miles.

The Giants announced the move on Wednesday, giving returning defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo a player he coached the last two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.

The 28-year-old Miles played the last two years with the Ravens after spending his first three in Cincinnati. He has played in 67 regular-season games with three starts and played in four postseason games. His career regular-season totals include 41 tackles, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, plus 45 special teams tackles.

The Giants also waived wide receiver Marcus Harris and rookie free agent safety Justin Currie. Harris spent last season on injured reserve with a hip injury.
