San Francisco 49ers training camp will begin on Aug. 1 at the team's training facility in Santa Clara, Calif.
The 49ers are looking to improve on last year's 8–8 season under new head coach Jim Tomsula. Tomsula replaces Jim Harbaugh, who mutually parted ways with the team in December.
Multiple San Francisco players retired over the off-season, including linebackers Patrick Willis and Chris Borland and defensive end Justin Smith. Additionally, defensive tackle Anthony Davis decided to take at least one year off from the NFL.
