The Texans will begin this year's training camp on Aug. 1 at Methodist Training Center in Houston. Camp will run through Aug. 25 and feature six practices open to the public. 

The Texans finished last season 9-7 and in second in the AFC South behind the Indianapolis Colts. 

Houston signed free agent nose tackle Vince Wilfork, quarterback Brian Hoyer and safety Rahim Moore in the off-season. Longtime wide receiver Andre Johnson and both starting safeties—Kendrick Lewis and D.J. Swearinger—left the team.'s Chris Burke gave the Texans a B+ for their off-season report card.

The Texans are appearing on this season's version of HBO's Hard Knocks.

The majority of Texans training camp takes place at Methodist Training Center in Houston. The team will spend three days practicing with the Washington Redskins at their facility in Virginia from Aug. 6-8.
