An MRI revealed that Green Bay Packers receiver Randall Cobb has a “minor” sprain of the AC joint in his right shoulder, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reports. It is unclear whether he will be able to play in Week 1, Rapoport adds.

ESPN’s Rob Demovsky reports that the team believes Cobb “has a good chance to be ready for the regular-season opener.”

Cobb left Saturday night’s preseason game after landing on his shoulder while making a catch and did not return. He told reporters he had feared he broke his collarbone, but X-rays came back negative.

“I just caught the ball and was going down to the ground, and I had a guy land on top of me,” Cobb said, according to ESPN.com. “I was just jogging off the field at the end of the series, and I could feel the pain. I didn't know exactly what it was. It was discomfort, and I let Doc check it out and we went back and got X-rays. It's not what we think it could've been.”

The Packers have already lost Pro Bowl receiver Jordy Nelson for the season with a torn ACL, leaving Cobb as the team’s top wideout.

Cobb was selected to his first career Pro Bowl last season after catching 91 passes for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns.
