Rex Ryan optimistic LeSean McCoy can play in season opener
Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan says he is optimistic that running back LeSean McCoy will be ready to return from a left hamstring injury before the team's season opener against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 13.
“I'm hoping he'll be available to us,” Ryan said. “I remain optimistic. This football team will be ready.”
Friday marked McCoy's return to practice since hurting his hamstring on Aug. 18. After a two-week absence, he took part in individual drills without much running or cutting.

McCoy is entering his first year with the Bills after spending the first six years of his career with Philadelphia before being traded in March and signing a . He rushed for 1,319 yards last season on 312 attempts, logging five touchdowns.
