Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans was sidelined again at practice Wednesday with a hamstring injury, according to a report by Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

Evans, who caught 68 passes for 1,051 yards and 12 touchdowns in his rookie season last year, has been shut down since Tampa Bay's second preseason game on Aug. 24.

If Evans is out again Thursday, it is likely that he will not play in the season opener against the Titans on Sunday, according to the Times' Greg Auman.

Last season, Evans set Tampa Bay's single-season receiving touchdown record.

An All-American at Texas A&M, Evans was a first round selection by the Bucs in the 2014 draft.
