NFL Week 1 injury roundup: Luke Kuechly, T.Y. Hilton, others go down
• Panthers All-Pro linebacker Luke Kuechly left Carolina’s win over Jacksonville with a concussion. He had to be helped off the field after hitting his head trying to make a tackle in the second quarter.
• The New York Jets sustained two injuries on defense in their win over the Browns. Cornerback Antonio Cromartie went down with a non-contact knee injury, while Lorenzo Mauldin was hospitalized after a head/neck injury.
• Colts wideout T.Y. Hilton injured his knee against the Bills and was taken for X-rays. He did not return. Head coach Chuck Pagano told reporters after the game that X-rays on Hilton’s knee were negative. Owner Jim Irsay said Hilton had a bruise and will miss a few weeks.
• Panthers OT Daryl Williams injured his knee and sat for the remainder of the game, the team announced.
