The Seattle Seahawks and safety Kam Chancellor still appear to be far apart in contract negotiations.

“There is not much going on right now. It's pretty quiet,” Seahawks coach Pete Carrol told 710 ESPN Seattle about the Chancellor situation Monday.

Chancellor held out for all of training camp and preseason, and missed the Seahawks’ Week 1 loss to the Rams.

Chancellor signed a four-year, $28 million extension before the 2013 season. He has three years left on the deal, and was scheduled to make $4,550,000 this season.

The Seahawks will play the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football in Week 2.
