Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is out for the team's Week 2 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Jeffery tweaked his hamstring during practice on Thursday and wasn't able to return to the practice field Friday.

Jeffery caught five passes for a team-high 78 yards in the Bears Week 1 loss to the Green Bay Packers. He also led the team in targets, being thrown to 11 times.

Eddie Royal will likely step up as the main receiving option for Jay Cutler, who completed passes to just five different receivers last week. Marquess Wilson, who grabbed two receptions for 59 yards against the Packers, should also see an expanded role.
