Dolphins CB Will Davis traded to the Ravens

Dolphins cornerback Will Davis has been traded to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a late-round draft pick, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.

Davis has spent the last two seasons with Miami. In 15 games, Davis recorded 24 tackles and defended three passes. He suffered an ACL injury and missed the final six games of last season.

Davis recorded two interceptions in the preseason finale against Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Miami carries a surplus of cornerbacks with Brent Grimes, Jamar Taylor, Brice McCain, Zack Bowman, Bobby McCain and rookie Tony Lippett on the 53-man roster.

The Ravens defense surrendered 351 passing yards along with three touchdowns to the Oakland Raiders and Derek Carr in Sunday's 37-33 loss. Cornerback Rashaan Melvin has missed the first two games of the year with a thigh injury.
