Baltimore Ravens wideout Steve Smith Sr. sustained four broken ribs in Thursday’s win over Pittsburgh, reports NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

The Ravens announced Saturday that Smith is week-to-week with a “back injury” that would not require surgery.

Smith was speared in the back by Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons during the third quarter and did not return. Afterwards, he mistakenly placed safety Mike Mitchell on his “lifetime hit list” for the hit.

Smith, 36, has said he will retire after this season. He’s the team’s leading receiver with 29 catches for 373 yards.

The Ravens also placed wide receiver Michael Campanaro on Injured Reserve due to a back injury he sustained on Thursday, and traded a conditional pick to the Rams for WR Chris Givens.

With rookie Breshad Perriman also ailing, the addition of Givens gives Baltimore four healthy wide receivers.
