Brees' 400th TD pass lifts Saints over Cowboys, 26-20 in OT
Monday October 5th, 2015

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees threw touchdown pass No. 400 in a wild win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.

The game turned into a back-and-forth late in the fourth quarter and overtime.

Trailing 20–13, Cowboys quarterback Brandon Weeden led an eight-play, 91-yard touchdown drive, capped by a diving Terrance Williams catch on fourth down to tie the game with less than two minutes to go. Weeden’s connection with Williams was his first touchdown pass of the game.

Dallas looked ready to head into overtime with momentum, overcoming the injuries of Sean Lee and Lance Dunbar along the way. But Brees led a late drive of his own, setting up a potential game-tying field goal from 30 yards out, only for New Orleans kicker Zach Hocker to miss the attempt and set up an overtime finish.

The Saints won the toss in overtime, and on their second play, Brees threw his 400th touchdown to C.J. Spiller, an 80-yard catch and run that won the game 13 seconds into the extra session.
