Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will not start against the Houston Texans on Thursday night. Luck is one of six Colts players listed as inactive for the game.

Backup signal caller Matt Hasselbeck will start in place of the injured Luck, who is tending to an injured shoulder. Hasselbeck, along with Luck, was previously listed as questionable for Thursday's game due to an illness he battled earlier this week.

The 26-year-old Luck missed the first game of his more than three-year NFL career on Sunday because of the shoulder injury. In his absence, Hasselbeck was granted the start against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and went 30-for-47 with 282 yards and one touchdown in the team’s 16–13 overtime win.

The Colts re-signed previously-released quarterback Josh Johnson on Friday to have as another option behind Luck and Hasselbeck.

A three-time Pro Bowl selection, Luck has thrown a league-high seven interceptions through three games played this season.

The Texans (1–3) will host the Colts (2–2) on Thursday at 8:25 p.m. ET on CBS.
