Denver Broncos wideout Emmanuel Sanders left Sunday’s game against the Browns with an apparent left shoulder injury sustained near the end of regulation.

With under 20 seconds remaining in a 23–23 game, Sanders made what appeared to be a one-handed catch along the left sideline, around the 20-yard line. He got up and ran the ball into the end zone, and laid down in pain, clutching his left shoulder.

Chaos ensued, as Sanders was ruled down by contact, and the clock continued to run because the Broncos were out of timeouts.

The pass was eventually ruled incomplete, and Denver punted away, sending the game to overtime.

Sanders returned for one play in overtime, but could not run effectively or move his left arm. He sat out the rest of the game.

He finished with four catches for 109 yards and a touchdown.
