Watch: Redskins WR Andre Roberts scores on 99-yard kick return

The Washington Redskins are trying to spoil the Carolina Panthers perfect season on Sunday, and Redskins wide receiver Andre Roberts made sure do to his part early on.

With 27 seconds remaining in the first quarter, Roberts took a kick off 99 yards to the house for his first career special teams touchdown. The score came immediately after the Panthers executed a 13-play, 78-yard drive that took 7:45 off the clock to give Carolina a 14–7 lead.

Roberts took the ball a step in from of his goal line and simply out sprinted the Redskins kick coverage on the way to the score.

The return was just Roberts’s fourth attempt on the season.

Redskins receiver Rashad Ross return a kick 101 yards for a touchdown Week 3 against the New York Giants for the team’s only other return touchdown this season.
