New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins with a concussion, the team announced Friday.

Head coach Todd Bowles sent Revis home on Wednesday after doctors told him the cornerback was not healthy enough to sit in on team meetings. Revis sustained the concussion in the third quarter of the Jets’ 24–17 loss to the Houston Texans last Sunday.

“We’re ready to play without him,” Bowles said Sunday. “If he comes back it will be a bonus. We’ll see later in the week, but we’re preparing to play without him.”

Buster Skrine and Marcus Williams will likely receive added playing time in Revis’s absence.

The Jets (5–5) face the Dolphins (4–6) 1 p.m. ET Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
