Indianapolis Colts place running back Ahmad Bradshaw on IR
The Indianapolis Colts have placed running back Ahmad Bradshaw on injured reserve, the team announced Monday.
Bradshaw sustained a wrist injury during Sunday’s 25–12 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and did not return. This trip marks the third consecutive season Bradshaw has landed on injured reserve.
The 29-year-old’s 2014 campaign was cut short after he broke his leg in a Week 11 game against the Patriots, and a neck injury just three games into the 2013 season kept him out for the remainder of that year.
Bradshaw had been serving as a backup to veteran Frank Gore, averaging 2.7 yards per carry in six games.
In a corresponding move, the team announced it had re-signed running back Zurlon Tipton, who was waived last week. He joins Gore and Dan Herron in the backfield.
