Blackmon is currently serving an indefinite suspension for his third violation of the league’s substance abuse policy.
This marks the second time that Blackmon has been arrested since he was suspended during the 2013 season. He was cited for marijuana possession in July 2014. Dating back to his college playing days at Oklahoma State, he has been booked a total of four times, including one other DUI citation.
According to the report, Blackmon was pulled over at 3:46 a.m. ET for a non-functioning brake light, and smelled of alcohol. He admitted to having “just two drinks,” but failed to pass a sobriety test.
In August, Jaguars general manager David Caldwell said that it was unlikely that Blackmon would ever play again in the NFL. The No. 5 pick in the 2012 draft hasn’t practiced or played since Week 8 of the 2013 season.
In order to re-enter the league, he would first need to apply for reinstatement, then enter a two-month vetting process.
