Packers place Ty Montgomery on IR, Andrew Quarless activated
The Packers have placed rookie receiver Ty Montgomery on injured reserve and activated tight end Andrew Quarless from short-term IR.
The Packers have placed rookie receiver Ty Montgomery on injured reserve and activated tight end Andrew Quarless from short-term IR, the team announced Monday.
Montgomery has not played since injuring his ankle in Week 6. He caught 15 passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns in six games this season and also returned seven kickoffs.
Quarless, Green Bay’s top tight end last season, injured his knee in Week 3 and was placed on injured reserve with the designation to return.

Second-year tight end Richard Rodgers has 50 catches for 449 yards and seven touchdowns this season. Activating Rodgers gives the Packers four tight ends.
