Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger missed practice Wednesday after going home sick, reports NFL Media’s Aditi Kinkhabwala.

Despite Roethlisberger’s apparent sickness, the team expects him to play in its regular season finale Sunday on the road against the Cleveland Browns.

The Steelers need to win coupled with a loss by the New York Jets against the Buffalo Bills in Week 17 in order to capture an AFC wild-card spot.

Roethlisberger, 33, has thrown for 3,584 yards, 18 touchdowns and 14 interceptions this season. The 12-year NFL veteran has also completed 68.1% of his passes, while posting a 93.7 passer rating this season.
