Eagles to interview Pat Shurmur for head coach job

The Eagles have already interviewed running backs coach Duce Staley for the vacancy.

The Philadelphia Eagles announced interim head coach Pat Shurmur will interview for the team's head coaching job.

Shurmur assumed head coaching duties after the firing of Chip Kelly on Dec. 29.

In his first stint with the Eagles, Shumur served as both the tight ends coach and the offensive line coach from 1999 to 2001 and the quarterbacks coach from 2002 to 2008. ​Shurmur has head coaching experience from his time as the Cleveland Browns head coach from 2011 to 2012. He re-joined the Eagles as the offensive coordinator in 2013.
