Williams underwent an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the injury, which was considered an ankle sprain after he was carted off the field in Pittsburgh’s 28–21 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
The Steelers play the Bengals in the first round of the playoffs at 8:15 p.m. ET on Saturday. Should they advance to the divisional round, there is a chance Williams could play, Rapoport reports.
In his first season with the Steelers, Williams finished with 907 rushing yards through 16 games, 10 of which were starts. His 11 touchdowns were tied for most in the NFL.
