Report: Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson, 30, to retire from football

On Sunday evening, news broke that Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson planned to retire this off-season.  Johnson, who ranks 27th on the NFL’s all-time receiving list, walks away from the game after nine years at the age of 30.

Several NFL players reacted to the news on Twitter, complimenting the veteran wideout on his career.
