The Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers will face off in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. 

Denver defeated the New England Patriots 20–18 in the AFC Championship Game to earn a trip to Super Bowl 50. Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib deflected a pass on a key two-point conversion for the Patriots, which secured Denver’s lead with 12 seconds left in the game. Quarterback Payton Manning completed 17 of 32 passes, throwing for 176 yards and two touchdowns. 

The Panthers dominated Arizona in the NFC Championship Game with a 49–15 victory over the Cardinals. Quarterback Cam Newton threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more. Carolina will be making its second trip to the Super Bowl in franchise history. In their first trip to the Super Bowl, the Panthers lost to the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVIII.
