Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Mike Pennel has been suspended four games without pay for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, the team announced.

Pennel, 24, finished with 25 combined tackles, one forced fumble and one sack in his second season in the NFL.

Pennel is eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games. His suspension will start with the first game of the regular season.

The Packers added Pennel as one of two rookies who went undrafted in the 2014 NFL draft.​
