The Houston Texans have released free safety Rahim Moore.

The Houston Texans have released free safety Rahim Moore, the team announced Thursday. 

Moore, 26, signed a three-year, $12 million contract with the Texans as a free agent before the 2015 season. He tallied 16 tackles and an interception in seven games, six of those starts.

Moore spent the first four seasons of his career with the Denver Broncos after being taken in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of UCLA.

He recorded a career-high four interceptions with the Broncos in 2014, starting all 16 games.

In 64 career games, Moore has 181 tackles and nine interceptions.
