The Jacksonville Jaguars will sign running back Chris Ivory, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The deal will become official once the new league year begins Wednesday. Ivory will make an average of over $6 million per year in the contract, reports NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.
Ivory played in 15 games for the New York Jets last season, his third year with the team. He recorded the most attempts, yards and touchdowns in his career, running 247 times for 1,047 yards and seven scores. Prior to joining the Jets, Ivory spent three years with the Saints.
In his career, Ivory has 883 carries for 4,031 yards and 24 touchdowns in 70 games.
