Report: Raiders sign CB Sean Smith to four-year deal
The Oakland Raiders have signed cornerback Sean Smith to a four-year, $40 million contract.
The Oakland Raiders have signed cornerback Sean Smith to a four-year, $40 million contract, reports the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport reports $20 million of the contract will be guaranteed.
Smith, 28, became a free agent on Wednesday with the turn of the new league year. His three-year, $18 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs expired after the 2015 season.
In 2015, Smith played in 13 games for the Chiefs and logged 40 tackles with two interceptions.

He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the 2009 NFL draft and spent four seasons in Miami before signing with the Chiefs.
