Free agent cornerback Brent Grimes has agreed to terms with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the team announced Monday.
Grimes, who started 47 games for the Miami Dolphins over the last three seasons, will sign a two-year deal worth $16.5 million, according to NFL Network’s Rand Getlin. He was released by the Dolphins on Wednesday.
Grimes, 32, began his career in Atlanta and played for the Falcons from 2007–2012. In Tampa, he will reunite with former Falcons coach Mike Smith, who is the Bucs' defensive coordinator.
In 2015, Grimes made 49 combined tackles and four interceptions. He intercepted 13 passes in his three seasons in Miami.
